Prior to launching Tugboat PR, our president, John Irvine, was the senior communications specialist for the largest civil service association in the U.S. He is also a former political campaigner, legislative aide and spokesman, and sports marketer. His professional credentials include a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, with a specialization in Labor/Management Relations, and a Bachelor of Arts in History. John is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and several community organizations in Alexandria, Virginia—the city where he lives and works.
